About Our Piano Lessons in Fairfax, VA

We offer piano classes and private music lessons designed to help each student grow with confidence and creativity. We offer programs to students of all ages, from preschool beginners to advanced students.

All of our lessons are taught by experienced piano instructors and music educators with music degrees and professional backgrounds. In addition to private piano lessons, our studio also offers voice and woodwind lessons, making it easy for families to stay in one place for high-quality music instruction.

We teach piano students of all ages and experience levels, including:

  • Preschoolers (Ages 3–5): Play-based lessons focused on rhythm, movement, and early music education.
  • Elementary & High School Students: Learn everything from classical piano to composing original music and playing for live audiences.
  • Adult Learners: It’s never too late to begin. We support adult students with flexible, low-pressure lessons that fit your goals and schedule.
  • Advanced Students: Preparing for competitions or performing arts auditions? We’ve helped students get ready for college auditions, develop strong technique, and gain confidence in their performance skills.

We welcome new students, advanced students, and those returning to piano after a break (no prior experience required).

About Us

Piano Inspired is a Fairfax, VA music school where students of all ages and experience levels can learn in a personal, encouraging, and effective environment. From preschool beginners to high school musicians, college students at George Mason University, and adult learners, our piano teachers tailor each private lesson to the student’s individual needs and goals. Our music teachers have years of experience teaching preschool beginners to dedicated high school and adult students across a range of skill levels.

FAQs

What will I learn in piano lessons?

We cover sheet music, music theory, ear training, composition, improvisation, sight reading, piano techniques and more.

Are there make-up lessons?

Yes. If you miss a lesson with at least 24 hours notice, a makeup lesson is scheduled, but there are no refunds.

Do you offer other instruments?

Yes. In addition to private piano lessons, we also offer voice lessons and woodwind lessons. We do not currently offer lessons for the following musical instruments: violin lessons, drum lessons, or guitar lessons (including acoustic guitar or electric guitar).

Do you offer music history lessons?

No, we do not offer dedicated music history lessons. However, elements of music history may be introduced as part of our broader music education approach within private piano, voice, or woodwind lessons when relevant to the student’s goals.

Do you offer group lessons?

Not at this time. While all of our current lessons are private, we plan to offer group classes starting in Summer 2026. Stay tuned for updates or reach out if you’d like to be notified when enrollment opens.

Can I use a keyboard instead of a piano for lessons?

Yes! Keyboard lessons are a great option for beginners, especially young children or students exploring pop music.

Do you offer summer camps?
