Piano Lesson FAQs
What will I learn in piano lessons?
We cover sheet music, music theory, ear training, composition, improvisation, sight reading, piano techniques and more. We do not offer music history lessons at this time. However, elements of music history may be introduced as part of our broader music education approach.
Are there make-up lessons?
Yes. If you miss a lesson with at least 24 hours notice, a makeup lesson is scheduled, but there are no refunds. If we cannot teach for any reason, we will provide a refund.
Where do you offer lessons?
Piano Inspired offers in-person lessons to students in Fairfax VA, Falls Church, and throughout Fairfax County and Northern Virginia. Students located in these areas are welcome to take lessons at our studio in Fairfax or online, for flexible scheduling. We also provide virtual lessons (online lessons) to students across the United States.
Do you offer lessons for other musical instruments?
We also offer voice lessons and woodwind lessons. We do not currently offer lessons for the following musical instruments: violin lessons, drum lessons, or guitar lessons (including acoustic guitar or electric guitar).
Do you offer group lessons?
Currently, all of our lessons are private. However, we plan to offer group classes starting in Summer 2026. If you’re interested in group lessons sooner, they can be arranged and tailored to your group’s needs, please contact us for more details. Stay tuned for updates or reach out if you’d like to be notified when enrollment opens.
Can I use a keyboard instead of a piano for lessons?
Yes! Keyboard lessons are a great option for beginners, especially young children or students exploring pop and electronic music.
